Dolls that reportedly glamorise hooliganism have been criticised by the Premier League. Little Hooliganz are plastic figures of pint-sized football hooligans in the colours of top Premiership teams like Man United, Arsenal and Man City (or the Manchester City Monkey Men as they are in the world of Little Hooliganz). A Premier League spokesman said: “These are infringing clubs’ intellectual property. Our lawyers have looked at this and are sending a letter of warning. Anything that celebrates or trivialises hooliganism in any form is deplorable.” The company who make them have withdrawn them from sale, but claim that they satirize rather than glamorise football hooligans.
